On 24 April 2026, the German Alumni Association under Royal Patronage (VTD), in collaboration with the Thai-German Cultural Foundation (TDKS), co-organized the traditional Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony (Songkran water-pouring ritual for paying respect to elders) on the occasion of the 2026 Songkran Festival. The event was held at the Thai Pavilion of the Thai-German Cultural Foundation, Goethe-Institut Thailand, Bangkok.
