On 16 June 2026, a farewell reception and presentation of commemorative gifts were held in honour of H.E. Mr. Ernst Wolfgang Reichel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Thailand. The event was led by Mr. Tamnu Tangkanasing, President of the Thai–German Cultural Foundation, together with Dr. Vichit Kiatsrichart, Vice President of the Thai–German Cultural Foundation, as well as Dr. Paiboon Choungthong, President of the German Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, and members of the Executive Committee of the Thai–German Cultural Foundation. The gathering took place at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Thailand in Sathon District, Bangkok.
